NASA’s Opportunity Rover Withstands Another Harsh Winter on Mars

When the Opportunity rover landed on Mars on January 25th, 2004, its mission was only meant to last for about 90 Earth days. But the little Mech that could has exceeded all expectations by remaining in operation for over 14 years and traveled a total of about 50 km (28 mi).
Basically, Opportunity has continued to remain mobile and gather scientific data 50 times longer than its designated lifespan.

Agents, Ubisoft-Massive is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the release of Tom Clancy’s The Division with special events all week! From 07:00 EST on March 9th until 12:00 EST on March 11th, the devs are giving out double rewards for High Value Targets. Straight after that, running until 04:00 EST on March 16, you will get double Field Proficiency caches whenever you fill out your Field Proficiency bar.

As a special gift and thank you to all active players, the devs will also be giving out the special Celebration emote! All you will have to do to get it is to log into the game at some point between 07:00 EST on March 9th and 04:00 EST on March 16th and pick it up for free at the Premium Vendor in the Terminal. At the same time as you get the emote, you will be given 200 premium credits to spend at the Premium Vendor in whatever way you like.

The Road Ahead for 2017

Ubisoft-Massive is still very much dedicated to the future of The Division, and they have given us an update on some of the things you can expect over the coming months. During 2017, the devs will be releasing two major content updates to The Division. These updates will add new engaging activities to the game and and will be completely free to all players and released simultaneously on all platforms! Both are under heavy development right now and the devs will also keep releasing bug fixing and balancing updates throughout the year to support the game and will be working to improve all current existing game activities at the same time as they are adding new content.

Let's take a look at the major features coming in the first content update, set to release this summer. First up is “Seasons”: special curated playlists of missions with a twist. Using special gameplay modifiers, these missions will force you to play differently to what you are used to – using weapons, skills and tactics you might not use normally. The better you perform, the more points you will get. After running for a limited time, the Season will end, the scores will be tallied and rewards will be given out, before a new Season starts a while later with a new playlist and new modifiers. The timing of the different Seasons, as well as their official name, will be confirmed later, as they are still under development. Over the course of the year, the devs are planning for several separate Seasons, which will continuously bring breaths of fresh air and new challenges to The Division.

Secondly, the devs are adding Feats, special achievements unlocked by performing challenges in the game including, but not limited to, kill challenges, helping other agents and exploring New York. They will also include unique challenges that will encourage you to experiment with different builds and playstyles. As you finish certain Feats, you will be rewarded with special cosmetic patches to put on your character’s uniform, so that you can show off your grand achievements to your fellow agents. There will be a wide range of Feats available when the feature launches, but the devs will also be adding new ones over time.

The dev team is also implementing one of the most requested features to the game – loadouts. These will allow you to save your equipment builds and easily switch between them, which will be a huge quality of life improvement for many of our players.

The second year of The Division will be an exciting one. Stay tuned for more information, enjoy celebrating the first anniversary, and we will see you in Manhattan!

BWC's Game Exploration division is always on the look out for new and exciting games that are not only fun, but also serve to develop teamwork and camaraderie. We are hereby proud to introduce the hottest games that BWC is looking to invest into. With enough interest, these games may become a battalion in one of our divisions in the future!

So without further ado, let us take a closer look at QUAKE CHAMPIONS.

20 years ago, Quake set new standards for multiplayer competition and pushed the boundaries for graphics and gameplay. The fast, skill-based arena-style competition that turned the original Quake games into multiplayer legends is making a triumphant return with Quake Champions (QC). Developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, Quake Champions will be the first main entry in the Quake series since 2005's Quake 4. Bethesda promises many PC-only features for QC, such as unlocked framerates, 120hz gameplay, and a smooth fragging experience that is reminiscent of the classic Quake speed.

SIGN UP FOR CLOSED BETA

Sign-ups for the highly anticipated Closed Beta are now open HERE. The Closed Beta is expected to begin in the coming weeks, and if you’re going to be attending PAX East this weekend at the Boston Convention Center, Quake Champions will be playable at the Bethesda Booth. Additionally, the QC website is loaded with details on many of the Arenas, weapons and Champions you’ll be able to check out when the game enters Closed Beta. Also, keep an eye out this week for more info and gameplay videos.

Champions, dust off your rocket jumping and Railgun skills because the Arenas beckon for the strong and the glory seekers!
