Social Operations
Social Ops are meant to provide an opportunity for company members to congregate and pursue ingame activities at their own discretion. This can involve supporting other members who are pursuing particular objectives such as exotic weapons, campaign quests, or world zone activities. There is no particular in-game activity that is prioritized, instead promoting company esprit de corp and cooperation is the objectives for these ops. Social Ops can also occur outside of Destiny 2, or may not involve a game at all such as movie nights.
Raid Operations
This operation type is for scheduling the completion of one of Destiny 2’s various 6 player raid activities. Operation leads have a working knowledge of the raid and its mechanics, sufficient to the point that they can explain encounters during the operation. Similarly attendees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the raid’s encounters and mechanics prior to the operation, and to ensure they have the appropriate weapons and gear required. Weapon loadouts, tactics, and secondary objectives are ultimately at the discretion of the op lead, but are often completed if enough interest is demonstrated.
Gambit Ops are meant to focus the company’s attention on pursuing Gambit and Gambit-related activities, principally by forming fireteams and playing against other teams via the public que. Gambit Ops are generally either competitive, requiring each player to maximize their efficiency, group communication, and effort or they can be more social in nature such as by focusing on interesting or humorous loadouts and compositions. Gambit Ops can also be a forum for BWC members to compete amongst themselves through private lobbies.
Crucible OperationsCrucible Ops are meant to focus the players’ attention on pursuing Crucible and Crucible activities, principally by forming fireteams and playing against other teams via the public que. Crucible Ops are generally on either being competitive, requiring each player to maximize their efficiency, group communication, and effort or are more social and casual in nature. When conducted in a more casual nature quirky team loadouts and compositions can be organized. Iron Banner, Survival, and Trials are alternative options for company members who are looking for a more challenging or competitive player versus player experience, and are encouraged to engage with these game modes in a competitive manner. Crucible Ops can also be a forum for BWC members to compete amongst themselves through private lobbies, ladder tournaments or king of the hill matches.
